The Model T car not only helped "mobilize" America, Henry Fords company also created many jobs for the unemployed. He was a fair employer who seemed to really care about the people who worked for him.
ReplyDeleteThe American Automobile industry has come a long way since the invention of the Model T. The Created Equal textbook discusses the cost of the original car being under $1000.00.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, that Model T had skinny tires and no hard top roof, which could have been disastrous if they could drive as quickly as the cars of today. It is amazing how cars have advanced from the beginnings and how much we now depend on them. Most of us have several - the family car, the sports car, the motorcycle, the 4 wheeler, etc.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. Are we supposed to have pictures of industrial processes? What about a picture of the Ford assembly line? Since Ford set the standard for assembly line production.
